4th ANNUAL CROATIAN CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA

  

Gathering of Croatian Folkdance Ensembles from the USA and Canada (sometimes farther) to perform at a Concert at the Historic Waner Grand Theater in San Pedro California. This is a whole weekend event and there will be many parties and get togethers for all the groups in attendance as well as guests & Friends of the Croatian Community.

MEDIEVAL MORALITY PLAY AT ST. ANTHONY's

  

Croatian-American theatre company "The Young Thespians of LA" is proud to announce couple of more performances of their religious morality play "EVERYMAN".
The next one is happenning APRIL 11th at NOON at St. Anthony's Parish Center in Los Angeles.
Gorgeous and talented American actor CASEY SULLIVAN plays the title role of Everyman.
God has called DEATH to summon Everyman for his behaviour and bring him before him. Everyman is begging for delay of that trip from which there is no return. He is pleading with DEATH to take his friends to make him company.
Death is played by beautiful Croatian-American actress ANA VULETIC-BABUN  while  ZVONIMIR HACE portrays solemn GOD. Of all his friends: BEAUTY, STRENGTH, WISDOM, FELLOWSHIP, KINDRED, FIVE WITTS, KNOWLEDGE and GOOD DEEDS, only GOOD DEEDS are willing to follow EVERYMAN to his grave.
Hollywood actor Zvonimir Hace portrays Fellowship, Strength and GOD while KATHERYNE  E. WYNN plays KNOWLEDGE. CHRIS SPALATIN plays FIVE WITTS while ANA VULETIC-BABUN is scarry DEATH, seductive GOODS, gorgeous BEAUTY and humble GOOD DEEDS.
All of this is accompanied by Requiem by Mozart and Verdi, and  ST. Anthony's Church CHOIR and Children's School. Next performances of EVERYMAN WILL FOLLOW IN CROATIAN CULTURAL CENTER AND WARNER GRAND OF SAN PEDRO AND CELEBRITY CENTER  OF HOLLYWOOD.
ANA VULETIC-BABUN directed, produced and adapted this play for the stage. Zvonimir Hace choreographed stage fights and is an assistant director . Casey Sullivan who artistically aided director for the poster design and subtext of some actors is another assistant dirwector. Branko Sertic is a sound engineer.
The whole play is dedicated to Don Mate Bizaca and all the priests who dedicate their lives to GOD.

CELEBRATION OF THE FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

The celebration will start with the procession followed by the Holy Mass at 1:30 pm. After the Mass there will be continuation of the celebration with social hour and dinner at the Croatian American Club on 631 W. 9th St., San Pedro.

The social hour will start immediately after the Mass at Mary Star of the Sea church.
Dinner at 3:30 pm. Expect the traditional Croatian food: BBQ lamb, cevapcici, sauerkraut, mostaccioli, wine and dessert.

The festival is organized by the Croatian Catholic Family Guild, Croatian American Club and Dalmatian American Club. Come and enjoy this great celebration.
