WELCOME TO ST. ANTHONY'S CROATIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
St. Anthony Croatian Catholic Parish is a community of faith and love, graced with a revered ethnic heritage.
We share our Catholic faith with other parish communities that constitute the larger local Church of Los Angeles. With them we are devoted to a common Church mission, which is to witness the presence of God in our world and to advance the civilization of love.
At the same time, we are a distinct ethnic community. The Croatian Christian heritage is fourteen centuries old. We cherish such a legacy and are indebted to preserve our rich Croatian culture, traditions, customs, values and language for future generations.
In regard to this specific character of our parish community, our primary goal is to enhance efficient interaction of faith and culture. Therefore, we commit ourselves to promoting the cultural adaptation of liturgy. Also, in order to invigorate dynamics of evangelization we are committed to contextualize all pastoral, catechetical, social and cultural activities in the parish. |

ove godine pada u nedjelju 15. kolovoza. Od 9:30 ujutro bit će sv. Ispovijed. U 10:30 slijedi procesija oko crkve, a onda svečana Misa uz pjevanje župskog zbora i pratnju tamburica. Nakon sv. Mise u župskom centru će kao i prijašnih godina biti poslužen ručak u organizaciji Hrvatskog Republikanskog Kluba.
Širom Domovine se na Veliku Gospu hodočasti u Marijina svetišta. Nek za nas naša hrvatska crkva bude proštenište o Velikoj Gospi.

HRVATSKA DJEČJA ŠKOLA

Our Chilren's School Mission Statement is a coherent partnership between our priests, teachers, parents and students.
The objective is to ensure that each student develops a firm foundation of our Croatian heritage, nurtured through a distinctive base of knowledge.
Continuing the accomplishments from last year, we have added an exciting new study program about Croatia, our beautiful homeland, a new dance and music class where students can learn how to play Tamburica and sing in a children's choir.

which you see today in the sanctuary is handcrafted from a special wood by our local Croatian artists: Ante Toni Dunatov, his son Johnny and Luka Norac. The new ambo is their generous gift to our parish on the occasion of its Centennial.
All the symbols on the new ambo have their special meaning: cross is a symbol of our salvation in Christ; Croatian coat of arms and pleter – symbols of our 14 centuries old culture and statehood; wheat, wine and olive – symbols of the Biblical roots of our faith and the symbols of 4 Evangelists, remind us of our obligation to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Toni, Luka and Johnny for this great gift to our Croatian parish!
