THE SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS

will be celebrated next Sunday, November 1st . Masses will follow regular Sunday schedule.
During the month of November we Catholics remember and pray for deceased members of our families and through the whole month the “All Souls” masses are offered for them.
When you receive a special “All Souls” envelope, write down the names of your late family members or friends whom you would like to be remembered in November Masses. Fill out the attached form on the front of the envelope and mail it back to our office or bring it to church on Sunday.

PARISH CENTENNIAL DIRECTORY

This week you will receive the annual “All Souls” mailing. There you will find enclosed some materials concerning our parish centennial. Please read carefully the enclosed “Portrait Guide” and call Nancy Brkić at the parish office (213)628-2938. She will assist you in scheduling your photo session time for the Parish Centennial Directory.
The next sessions of taking pictures will be November 5-7. You may book your appointment with Vlasta or Nancy today after Sunday Mass. Also, call the rectory if you would like to volunteer for this enormous project.

PARISH ADULT CHOIR

has begun with its weekly Wednesday 7:00PM practice. Due to the special program planned for next year’s parish centennial celebrations, the present choir has been enlarged and is still open to the new members who have talent and love for music and our Croatian parish.

RESPECT LIFE MESSAGE

The day after the March for Life on January 22, 2009, President Obama overturned the Mexico City Policy begun by President Reagan and continued under both Presidents Bush.
What this means is that American taxpayer dollars will be used by groups like International Planned Parenthood to promote the legalization of abortion at all stages of pregnancy in countries across the world.

MJESEC STUDENI I MISE ZA POKOJNE

Ovog tjedna primit ćete pismo od župnika uz priloženu “All Souls” kovertu. Mjesec studeni je posvećen sjećanju i molitvi za one koji su nam dali život, vjeru, ljubav i uputili nas u svijet. U našoj se crkvi kao i u drugim katoličkim crkvama širom svijeta, u mjesecu studenome svaki dan prikazuju svete mise za pokojne kojih se inače ne sjećamo poimenice tijekom godine.
Na poslanoj koverti napišiti imena svojih pokojnika koje namjeravate uključiti u “All Souls” mise u mjesecu studenom. Vratite kovertu poštom na župski ured ili je stavite u lemozinu na nedjeljnoj svetoj misi.

ŽUPSKI VJERONAUK

se održava svake nedjelje pred župsku misu od 9:30-10:15 u učionicama župskog centra.
Upis vjeroučenika se još uvijek nastavlja.

HRVATSKA DJEČJA ŠKOLA

je započela radom. Upis djece jos uvijek traje.
Mole se roditelji da slijedeće nedjelje, 1. studenoga nakon župske mise dođu na važan sastanak s upravnim Odborom Škole.

VJERONAUK U PODRUČNIM MISIJAMA

Danas je u Denveru don Mate, gdje se kroz mjesečnu misu na hrvatskom jeziku, obilježava Katehetska nedjelja i početak vjeronauka. Zbog osiguranja vjeroučenika, mole se roditelji da ispune upisnice za svako pojedino dijete.

USUSRET STOGODIŠNJICI ŽUPE

Kad ovog tjedna primite redovitu “All Souls” poštu, naći ćete u paketu i neke materijale u vezi proslave stogodišnjice župe. Molimo vas da pažljivo pročitate priloženi “Portrait Guide” i da nazovete župsku tajnicu Nancy na telefon (213) 628-2938. Ona će Vam pomoći da predbilježite sebe i svoju obitelj za slikanje za Direktorij kojeg izdajemo o stogodišnjici naše hrvatske župe.
Slijedeći ciklus uzimanja slika je zakazan za 5-7 studenoga. Možete se predbilježiti danas nakon Mise kod Vlaste Lebo ili Nancy Brkić.
Također se traže dobrovoljci koji bi bili voljni telefonom pozivati župljane na slikanje. U svezi toga javite se župskoj tajnici Nancy.

ZAHTJEV ZA REGISTRACIJU BIRAČA

za predsjedničke izbore u Republici Hrvatskoj podnosi se konzulatu RH u Los Angelesu svakoga radnog dana u vremenu od 8:30 do 16:30 sati.

CATECHISM CLASSES

are being held every Sunday. Religious education classes begin at 9:30AM until 10:15 before Mass.
Croatian School is in session after 10:30 Mass

CROATIAN CHILDREN SCHOOL

is in session. However, the enrollment is still open. The parents are invited to an important meeting with the Executive School Board next Sunday after 10:30AM Mass.
